Acquired from Red Deer in exchange for Brennan Wray midway through the 2006-07 season, Knackstedt established himself as one of the Warriors’ best and most dependable forwards, scoring 13 goals and 39 points in 39 games after the trade. Including his first 33 games with the Rebels, Knackstedt put up career best totals for goals (23), assists (33) and points (56) while also posting a +19 rating.

sorry i knew wray was aprt of the knackstedt deal last year forgot hendry was in the previous year deal before we went to the league finals.

You got the better deal in acquiring Knackstedt. Wray and Morrin have been good for Red Deer but not what Knackstedt could have done for us. He was not allowed to play the part he was skilled to play and never given the ice time he deserved. We were certain he would be a keeper for you guys. Sorry to have lost him in Red Deer. But glad he is getting the chance he deserves.
