CALGARY, AB. - The BOSTON PIZZA WHL Player of the Week is forward Jason Bast of the Moose Jaw Warriors.

Bast picked up seven points in three games during the week of December 3rd through to December 9th. He scored two goals, five assists and was plus six, helping the Warriors to a 3-0 record in that span.

On Wednesday, December 5th, the Warriors hosted the Red Deer Rebels in Moose Jaw’s Civic Centre. Bast scored one goal and two assists as the Warriors downed the Rebels 6-1. He was also named the games 1st Star.

On Saturday, December 8th, the Warriors travelled down the Trans-Canada to take on the Calgary Hitmen at the Pengrowth Saddledome. Bast picked up a goal and assist in the Warriors win over the Hitmen, 3-1.

On Sunday, December 9th, the Warriors wrapped up their quick two game road trip through Alberta taking on the WHL Central Division leading Lethbridge Hurricanes. Bast picked up a pair of assists in the Warriors 4-0 win over the Hurricanes. He was also named the games 1st Star.

Bast’s consistent play over the past week has helped stretched the Warriors win streak to five games and post a 7-1-1-1 record in their past 10 contests.

Bast, an 18 year old, from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, is in his third year with the Moose Jaw Warriors and in the Western Hockey League. He is eligible at the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

The WHL has also nominated Joey Perricone of the Moose Jaw Warriors for the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week Award.

His Family moved to Moose Jaw in June ,and He and his Family are now citizens of Moose Jaw .
