Craig Hartsburg and his coaching staff got one last piece of business out of the way on Friday, naming Calgary Hitmen defenceman Karl Alzner as captain of Canada's national junior squad.

The team also designated Niagara IcDogs forward Stefan Legein, centre Brad Marchand of the Val-d'Or Foreurs, Red Deer's Brandon Sutter and Regina Pats defenceman Logan Pyett as alternate captains. Congrats Logan!

Alzner is captain but do I understand it correctly in that Team Canada has 4 assistants? Is there going to be some players alternating or what?
