Blades Blanked by Brandon
The Saskatoon Blades suffered their 17th loss on the road this season on Friday night in Brandon, falling to the Wheat Kings by a final score of 6-0.
The Wheat Kings went to the power play 12 times on the evening, scoring 4 of their 6 goals on the man advantage. The Blades had just 3 power plays and failed to score on all of them.
Brandon's goals all came from six different scorers, with Cale Jefferies and Matt Calvert scoring within the first 7 minuets of the game, chasing Blades starting goaltender Braden Holtby from the net after making 5 saves on 7 shots.
