Jonathon Blum Signs with Nashville

The Nashville Predators signed Jonathon Blum, their first round pick from the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, to a three-year contract on Friday, reports CKNW-980 in Vancouver.

The 18-year-old blue-liner was drafted 23rd overall by the Predators and will suit up for Team U.S.A. at the IIHF World Junior Championship in the Czech Republic.

Blum plays for the Vancouver Giants of the Western Hockey League and leads all defencemen in scoring.

Reports are he signed for the Rookie Max, 875k

Nice going Blum. It'd be great to see Blum and Franson playing in the bigs together in a couple of years. I'd even cough up the couple hundred it would cost me to go to the game...
