....well, at least using my fuzzy math...lol

A lot has been made about Leland's season so far. Some of it deservedly so. But, has it been as bad as some think? Maybe, maybe not. Here's some stats:

Irv gave up more than 3 goals three times in his first 3 games (6, 4, & 4 respectively). Since then, he's given up more than 3 goals ONCE in 27 Games (Nov. 20).

Irving's Season Save Percentage is .9067.

From game 5 to now it is: .9171 - That would be good for 5th in WHL. Of the five in front of him, the #1 - #3 guys have played in just 13, 19 and 18 games, respectively. The #2 and #3 guys both play for Spokane...so you can either count them as 1 or, at the very least, chalk that up to their good D in front of them.

I think we can all admit the Tips D is not as good as it has been in previous years. Take out the first 4 games as his "Adjustment" period to new site lines and a changed defensive style and I think he is doing just fine.

At the very least you can say Irv is giving his team a chance to win. When you give up 3 or less in a game, your team should be in contention.
