So who is hot and who is not. Just a quick calculation of which teams are the hottest the last 2 months. Interesting that some people were wondering why Moose Jaw went after and got Wishart and Ellerby. On Nov 15th they were in 8th place in the conference and well out of 1st . Not getting a lot of press as a "conference favorite." They are however the highest point earner since 11/15/07. Most surprising, and dissapointing from my perspective of course is the Hurricanes. They were 1st overall on Nov 15 but have earned only the 7th most points since.

I have not taken games played into account but assume they are not that different for each team.

Great post, HRock! Interesting to see how some of the late starts have taken such a large leap forward - and how some of the quick starts (like the Broncos) have struggled in comparison. Here's to an interesting remainder of the season.

Boy, Brandon has really slowed down since the break. I believe were 7-6-1 since the 27th of December, a large part I imagine is the lost of captain Daryl Boyle and the scoring of Andrew Clark. Dittmer has slowed down in his scoring pace, and the team hasn't been playing good hockey, it's quite evident with the drop in the standings.

In a few weeks, it will be interesting to see the records of teams AFTER the Jan 10 trade deadline...I notice that so far Regina is unbeaten since then, and all their wins are almost playoff type teams...they definately have a strong lineup and will be tough to beat in a 7 game series, as I witnessed here in Leth last nite...strongest team (other than Vancouver in the West) Ive seen us play all year
