Lethbridge, AB - The Hurricanes are coming off a weekend which once again saw them take three of a possible four points. Lethbridge goaltender Michael Maniago had an unruly welcome for former Hurricane forward Colton Yellowhorn and the Tri City Americans as the Canes shutout the visiting U.S. division leaders 2-0 on Saturday night. The Canes followed this up with a 3-2 overtime loss to the Regina Pats on Sunday. This week the “Boys from the Bridge” take on the Brandon Wheat Kings at home before venturing west as they kick off their only trip through the B.C. Division this season. This road trip will see the Canes play five games in seven nights.
Lethbridge has tallied a 2-1-0-0 record against the Wheat Kings this season with both of their wins coming on the road in Brandon. Their win on Oct.19th began a 14 game run which would see Hurricanes go 13-0-0-1 during October/November. Their first meeting of the season resulted in a 5-2 Lethbridge loss on October 6th in the Bridge City. The ‘Canes were 2-2-0-0 versus the Wheat Kings last season and have an all-time record of 49-53-10-8-0 (W-L-T-OTL-SOL) against the Wheaties.
