Silvertips' GENDUR Named BOSTON PIZZA WHL Player of the Week

CALGARY, AB. - The BOSTON PIZZA WHL Player of the Week is forward Dan Gendur of the Everett Silvertips.
Gendur picked up 12 points, scoring three goals and nine assists to go with a +5 rating in three games over the last week, helping the Silvertips post a 2-1 record in that span.
On Wednesday, January 23rd, the Silvertips travelled to Prince George, B.C. for a pair of games against the Cougars. In the first contest Gendur notched two goals and four assists as the Silvertips shut-out the Cougars 6-0. He was also named the games 1st Star.
On Thursday, January 24th, the Silvertips wrapped up their two game set in Prince George, downing the Cougars 5-4 in a shoot-out. Gendur picked up three assists in the win and scored the winning shoot-out goal.
On Saturday, January 26th, Everett rolled into the Key Arena in Seattle, WA to face the Thunderbirds. Gendur scored one goal and two assists as the Silvertips fell to the Thunderbirds 4-3.
Gendur, a 20 year old from Victoria, B.C. is in his fourth year of play in the Western Hockey League. His WHL career started with the Prince George Cougars before joining the Silvertips near the start of last season. He was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the 7th round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
