(unfortunately for you philosophy buffs, "why not?" is not a valid answer here)
there are lots of reasons things haven't worked out for the raiders this year... but i'm wondering what changed between the end of last season when there was so much optimism about this year... and the start of this year when it became clear this wasn't going to be the team's year either
were the raiders really not as good as everyone thought? too much change all at once to make a real run this year? internal issues worse than everyone knew about (or wanted to admit)? just seemed like the buzz was too great for things to turn out like this y'know?
