Too bad to see him retire so early(or late.. he could have joined the pats in the alumni game :)). Im not sure how he had such a drop off in his game after the lockout, was it an injury? I dont know much about that part of his career.
Either way, he had a solid NHL career. He was a huge reason that the devils won their stanley cup in 2003, and was a fan favorite in San Jose for quite awhile. At least he got to win a cup, while putting up some solid stats as well.
Friesen's years as a Pat were before my time so can anyone else that saw him play tell me what he was like as a pat?
