Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – The Prince Albert Raiders are pleased to announce 16 year-old centre Jordan Kochan, the 3rd leading scorer in the Alberta Major Midget League, will be in their lineup Saturday night when they host the Swift Current Broncos at 7:30 PM at the Art Hauser Centre.
Kochan was the Raiders 9th round selection, 173rd overall in the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft. This season with the Edmonton CAC Gregg Distributors Canadians, Kochan has 21 goals and 43 assists for 64 points in 34 games for the AMHL Dodge Division leading Canadians, including 10 power play markers. Kochan won the Fastest Skater Competition at the AMHL All Star game.
The 5’10”, 170 lb. centre will wear #27 for the Raiders Saturday. He is allowed to play up to five games with the Raiders as an Affiliate Player.

If playing 19 year olds that dont deserve the ice time till there legs drop off and sitting the kids is good we are doing great.. haha.
i nearly blew orange juice out my nose when i read that vci22 :laugh: :eek:

I hope he skates circles around the 19 year olds i mean the broncos.... clrkth jeez fastest skater in midget in Alberta...that is impressive. :clap:

they do but there arent many roster spots open. maybe 3 for the forwards and we have kochan,harrison,the 2 from the may trade plus all the other draft picks that have a shot like iron. I already cant wait for training camp
It is going to be very exciting and competitive, interesting to see if there are any trades at the draft..and off season. The draft picks from the last couple of years are looking awesome with their respective teams right now!!! :clap:

fast... he made some nice passes and I dont think he lost a faceoff. The only thing that made him look out of place was the full face shield.
Excellent to hear, what bout size? Did he look ok against the bigger guys.....wow what round was he stolen in? vci34

important to remember that's a good problem to have for any team - too much talent coming into camp versus not enough

Excellent point...hard descions coming up. Good to see the 19 year olds playing for their jobs next year!!

I wonder if anyone else from the team won't be back next year besides the 19 year olds. Training camp will be competitive!
