Raiders to Help Darwin Head in his attempt to Win $1 Million

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - The Prince Albert Raiders are pleased to announce they will provide Darwin Head of Prince Albert some assistance before he takes part in TSN's Chevrolet Malibu Million Dollar Shootout Contest.
Head will attend the Raiders regular Western Hockey League practice Tuesday, February 19th at 2:30 PM at the Art Hauser Centre to practice on ice with members of the team. Head also will do a "dry run" of the on-ice competition itself during the second intermission of the Raiders game Friday, February 22nd when they host the Regina Pats at 7:30 PM.
Head, a sawyer at Carrier Forest Products Ltd., was randomly chosen from 8.6 million total online entries to take part in the actual promotion on February 27th during the first intermission of the NHL game in Vancouver between the Canucks and Colorado Avalanche. Head will win a cool million dollars if he scores 15 goals in 24 seconds from the far blue line at General Motors Place. As part of the contest, Head will also team up with cousin Lance Badger and friend Randy Bout at centre ice, where they will each have 15 seconds to shoot 10 pucks at an open net (30 pucks in total) for a chance to win up to four totally new Chevrolet Malibu Hybrids - the 2008 North American Car of the Year..
All three contestants (Head, Badger and Bout) will be at the Raider game February 22nd and practice the promotion in front of the Art Hauser Centre crowd.
This was very nice of the Raider organization to do. I wonder if they'll get a nice donation for their efforts now that the guy won and is a millionare!?!?
