Canes are not going to win every night, but 2 interesting notes from last night. Fadden a minus 4. You take the good with the bad from skilled players, but this can't be a trend come playoffs or it will be an early exit. Can you say goaltending contoversy? Maybe not yet, but interesting. Especially if Metsola plays well tonight it adds to this potential tough decision for the coaching staff.

Your goalie played well, he didn't lose you the game. One goal was an empty netter. He saved some shots from scrambles around the creases that were sure goals. You lost b/c Bdn out worked the Canes and our big guns scored and yours didn't, not b/c of a goalie playing poorly (imo).

From what it sounded like, Maniago kept us from getting blown out in the first period and did play well. Even if he played good you can bet Juha will start tonight in Moose Jaw. If Metsola plays great, then even though Manny is our number one to this point, things do become interesting with who gets the premier starts. We were outhustled all night and Sceviour was -4 and Boychuk -3 so that line needs to pick it up big time.
Lose tonight and the wrong other teams win, and boy will it change the standings big time. We will have gone from close to wrapping up a top 4 slot to maybe dropping to 6th when all is said and done. The East is freakin crazy. Have a great season like this and get anything for it would be a shame. Should be a dandy in M.J. tonight as "we don't lose 2 in a row" is the teams recent motto. Any one know the last time we lost 2 in row. Has to be well before X-mas and that is a telling stat. Any body can lose on any given night but not losing 2 in row shows a lot of guts and the sign of a powerful team.
