Sorry I accidently put on the Whlpa thread....LIKE I guess if we were concerned about being tough...and sounds like our penalty kill was phenom....And we lost alot of bodies...so I think the guys did awesome from what i heard in the summary.....The guys must be tired playing that short handed. Would like to hear thoughts from those that were there??? I was working and came home as said what the heckkkkkkkkkkkkk??? They are going to have to save the whole sports news for the raiders. bruno's voice is wreckedddd.

Ryan White is a voice of maturity and he has years of playing experience...I am sure the guys will be talking about it for awhile.. Great to see the team pulling together...even if it includes alot of head shaking at the refs. The league office I would hope will be embarassed by the refs, there is 2 weeks left in the regular season and this is going on???? BIZARRE! I wonder if Bruno is going to send some footage in for their viewing pleasure monday morning?

It was an absolute gong show. Crich and Hrycuik embarrassed the WHL and all officials that take their job serious. The officials usually do a good job but tonight was different. They allowed a goal to be scored against the Raiders after the whistle was blown. The refs blew the play dead because of a fight. Yet all of a sudden allowed the goal. It was a disgrace. The made bad call after bad call all night. They missed calls when players could have been seriously injured - it was horrible. My sources told me that Hrycuik will be relieved of his duties as a ref in the league. I was also told the head of officials was at the game, evaluating the two, and made the decision to relieve Hrycuik of his duties. I am not sure when this will happen, but to date my sources have all been correct.

I wasn't there but I would sure as heck like the low down on who was extra shifted...who was playing where etc. Sounds like the team played very well despite the fact there was no real time to play 5 on 5. Raiders musta been plenty tired.

The Raiders had a 20 second power play early in the game and then never had another pp until late in the third period. They played short handed for much of the game - they killed off a 5 minute major. During this major MH had a 5-3. The Raider PK was awesome. Fans walked out of the game happy with the Raider effort (it was outstanding considering the circumstances) and upset with the bush league officiating.

Of all the officials I have seen in Red Deer the last few seasons, Hryciuk was the worst that I have seen (by a country mile). Here is hoping he doesn't see any action in the post season.

I just hate actions that are done from behind that can surprise a player. So many injuries that way.

Hrycuik and Crich Must have been suspended by the league for 2 weeks. The game between PA and Med Hat was played on March 1st. Hrycuik did not work another game until the 14th between Red Deer and Edmonton and Crich did not ref another game until the 15th again between Red Deer and Edmonton. So its nice to see that the league does something when the refs screw up royally.

If you read my post, I stated I am not sure exactly when Hrycuik will be relieved of his duties as a ref. I assume he has a contract, with the WHL, until the end of the season. If he is back next fall, then I will be the first to post, my source was wrong. Until then, I stand by my statement.

If Hrycuik is working playoff games then i dont think that they would fire him at the end of the season All refs have bad games once in a while but when they do in the WHL they get a suspension which happened here. The suspension is over and he will be working games again. The Director of Refs wasnt there but a supervisor was.
