I think I speak for the majority of Winnipeggers in saying that Winnipeg needs a WHL team. Winnipeg has a storied WHL history, and would be a natural rival to the Brandon Wheat Kings. The AHL Moose are boring, and the owners of the True North Centre know that if a WHL team ever played out of the MTS Centre, it would drive the AHL out of Manitoba for good.
However, we're tired of people with the pipe dream that the Jets may come back one day. We don't want the Vancouver Canucks farm team! We want exciting junior hockey!!
