WHL Injuries

Is there a reason why player injuries are so hard to find? Am I spoiled from years of having papers, radio, tv, teams (or at least notice that player x has been injured and may be out for y time) and the league, giving info about NHL injuries? It's like one has to go digging to find out a secret that there is an injury let alone anything more specific than that.
