Andrew Ladd has just scored 4 and half minutes into double OT. Hitmen lead series 3-1! Getzlaf with 3 points tonight. Pogge was alittle shaky but the Hitmen fought hard and got the win.

It sucks I couldn't head out there tonight, but it sounded like they finally got their act together in the third.

The Canes had a chip on their shoulder from last night, they came out with a purpose. The Hitmen just got the right bounce into the net for the 3-1 lead.

What an interesting hockey game.

The game went from Awful into the first, mediocre in the second, then good, then awsome then remarkable.

Kohn had a great game. Pushkarev was hit and miss. Fantastic goal, and he very nearly won it in the first overtime, but often lacked the fire.

First line was awful the first two periods, then Getzlaf started to warm up. Landolt was just worthless all night long, while Ladd, as usual, was a non-factor offensively until Getzlaf got going, then collected the GWG on a play that was 100% made by Getzlaf.

Seabrook was invisible again tonight, as was Filewich.

Pogge fought the puck all night long, but was fortunate that his defense cleared a ton of rebounds. The first goal was weak, and the second was a misplay by Yeo. Dylan should have cleared it into the corner rather than trying to put it into Pogge's glove. Nice effort by Kay to collect it though. He was probably the best player for Lethbridge.

Officiating was brutal tonight. Whatever people called Matsouka the best referee in the WHL have never watched hockey. 90% of the calls he made were garbage, and the inconsistancy was constant. The roughing penalty to Dupont was a flat out joke. Sorochan skated out of his crease to get in Duponts way, then pulled off a brutal dive. That should have been interference to Sorochan. The instigator on the same play was just as bad a call. As was the closing-the-hand-on-the-puck call to Lethbridge 40 seconds later. Ditto Getzlaf for Roughing, Seabrook for roughing. Reddenbach got an obstruction call after the play had ended.

Contrast that to Smith last night, who let them play, let the minor stuff go, but clamped down on Seabrook and Getzlaf slashing eachother. Night and Day.

The game was good

Brett O'Malley - had a good game, he played though lots of pain tonight. I hope he is not hurt to bad.

Pushkarev - Has some great hands, nice to see talent like that.

Pogge - Had a very good game, great to see

Getzlaf - had a strong game but Ladd was lucky.

Yeo - had a good first period and was steady the rest of the game

Plante - Great to see this kid on the ice in key situations, he ICEd the puck in over time when the team was in trouble. The Future looks bright.

17039 was a great crowd, took some time for them to get into the game.

White, 10:22 - Instigator, was bogus. grrr

Kelly Kisio - need to think of better motivations speeches, the team came out flat. There looked very nerves.
