Former Broncos go pro

Two former Swift Current Broncos have made the jump from major junior hockey to the professional ranks.

Former Broncos defenseman Dane Crowley signed an American Hockey League tryout contract with the Norfolk Admirals, the Tampa Bay Lightning's affiliate in the AHL.

The 20-year-old Crowley had 10 goals along with 19 assists and 29 points this season.

After being selected by Tampa Bay in the 6th round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, he was acquired by Everett in January, 2007 along with Jordan Mistelbacher and a third round draft pick from Swift Current in exchange for defenseman Eric Doyle.

Former Broncos forward Brady Leavold has signed a pro contract in the Vancouver Canucks organization.

Leavold has signed with the Victoria Salmon Kings, an ECHL team affiliated with the Canucks and the Manitoba Moose.

The Port Coquitlam native registered 69 points (22 goals, 47 assists) in 69 games and had a +21 plus minus rating this season with the Kelowna Rockets.
