Other than Reinholt, two years of injuries, Westblom is the only one to make the Rocket roster. Jordan Wilson was a late cut the last two years.

Well loking down the list heres a few notes I have compiled with this draft topic....

- the 29th overall pick on Lynch actually is spokanes pick. If u look it says Kel-PA-SPO.... I thought he was our pick too but he actually went to spoke.

- Same goes for round 5. Gillen was with the South Surrey Eagles this year then finished last half or os with the Cougars.

- Tanner Irwin was released from our list earlier this year and subsenquently picked up and placed on the Blazers roster and remains there.

- Aaron Tozer was with Sicamous KIJHL but was traded somewhere in the VIJHL and was de-listed by the Rockets.

- Logan Mcgillis was at camp last year forsure I know even played a couple of Exhuibition games. I believe Myles Masse did as well.

I am interested in finding out what happened to our 3rd rounder Natha Pederson, where is he playing, if he is at all...?

Jordan Wilson was a late cut the last two years. The Rockets are so good at developing players, that drafting does not seem to be as important. Though their management has proven to have a great eye for talent. Were like the New Jersey of the WHL in that regard. Thank god were not like Vancouver (Canucks that is).

Yes much like the Devils we seem to make something out of our draft picks which is the best way to build a team. Plus look at our 3 overagers this year, none of them were drafted, all were listed by the Rockets. Mosienko and Palin as 16 year olds and Deschamps came around when he was 18 I believe. Good scouting leads to these sorts of sucess stories.

Go back a year and you get Kelowna's best draft year IMO...

1st round 16th overall: Tyler Spurgeon
2nd round 35th overall: Blake Comeau
4th round 73rd overall: Mike Card
8th round 149th overall: Brent Howarth

and 2003's draft, all three of our first picks are with us...
1st round 20th overall: Craig Cuthbert
2nd round 40th overall: Kirt Hill
3rd round 60th overall: Colin Joe
