GO HITMEN GO!!

I am wishing safe travels to all the Calgary fans heading down to the bridge today (especially those on the bus with the Junior Hockey Junkies).

Any thoughts on how the game is going to go tonight? Got to think the Canes are pretty upset about not being able to get even 1 in our barn.

I'm predicting 3-0 Hurricanes tonight...setting up one hell of a battle at the Dome on Saturday.

The pressure is on the Hitmen now, to finish what they started.

The Hitmen have been known to be lazy after a good winning streak.

It should be a good game tonight. I still think who ever wins it will only be by a goal. The Canes need to have their best performance of the playoffs and the Hitmen had better be ready for a massive attack in the first 10 minutes or so by the Canes.

I don't think the Hitmen will get it done tonight. The Canes will squeak by with probably a 4-2 win, one of the goals coming on an EN goal. Hitmen will come back to the 'Dome jacked up in front of a probable full house to hoepfully finish it off.

I'm thinking the same thing Scotty is.

IF the Hitmen can come out and put 1 or 2 quick ones past Sorochan, they will win.

As far as I'm concerned, the first 10 mins will tell the story. You gotta believe that the Canes will be jacked up from their crazy fans (meant in a good way).

If the Canes get the first goal, and keep the fans loud, crazy, and involved, it MAY be a long night for us.

Hoping for another Pogge shutout, but realistically I'm thinking Game 6 at the Dome on Saturday night.

Hitmen in 5

or
Hitmen in 6

Either way---I'm fine with it.

Congrats to the Hitmen. Good job taking out the Canes tonite. I know that all Ice fans are cheering for yor (a rare thing to happen) The Huricanes were probably the toughest team for the ICE to play all year they just had our number, so maybe we will play the hitmen in the final? would'nt that bring back some great memories. But first we need one more win over the Blazers and a couple other series. It would be great to have a chance to play a series against the central div great rivals.

I just saw the replay of the Ladd OT winner, what a lucky hop that took out of Sorochan's glove. I'll take the win, but still-- a tough way to lose.

You're right, what a tough way to lose. I watched the goal over and over last night, it looked like it may have deflected off of Seabrook's stick, slightly, to close to call though. Either way Sorochan still should have had it.

The poor kid was speechless after the game it was a tough interview. I felt bad for him, but he feels worse then anyone.

The worst part is, if it wasn't for him the Canes wouldn't have made it this far, so good on ya Sorochan.

Good luck the rest of the way...the wrecking ball is rolling I'd be surprised to see the Hitmen lose before the league final.
