Prospects Poll

I'm going to be doing a bit of a lookahead at each team's prospects on my blog (http://smallatlarge.blogspot.com) in the next little while....those posts will likely be reposted here as well, so if any whlfans readers want to vote in the poll I set up to determine what order I'll do the teams in, feel free to pop over to the blog and cast your ballot. :)

Great idea for those of us new to the WHL fan base. It will be very cool to see what is out there on other teams.

Have you thought of delegating it out to others based on conference ( maybe the newspaper reporters in each city and have them come back to you with information?). That would lesson the work on you and give the local news something to promote regarding their dub team. Just a thought.

Prospects update
Just a quick note....I hope I didn't mislead anyone about the timeline of these team prospect capsules I'm working up. You won't be seeing any of them before early next week at the earliest and it will probably take me a couple weeks to get all 22 of them posted.

Part of what's holding me up is the lack of final season stats from the Alberta Midget Hockey League (http://www.amhl.ab.ca), since there's a lot of WHL prospects in that league. Also no final stats from the Southern Alberta Midget League (http://www.saml.ca) and there's a number of '92 WHL prospects in that league last year too. The AMHL should make theirs available eventually....I wouldn't be so sure of the SAML doing it though, they did last year but not the year before that. If I have everything else done and still no stats from one or both of those leagues then I'm just going to go ahead and do it without them.

I have the team prospect lists and about 90% of the stats I need so it's just a matter of matching up prospects with stats and looking up heights, weights, etc. Not rocket science stuff but it is time consuming so that's why you won't see anything until after the weekend.

Meantime, keep voting if you haven't already.....Everett, Portland, and Saskatoon are looking like the first teams I'll be doing. After that, it's pretty close down the board....
