World Hockey Draft Winners

The 2008 World Hockey Draft came to a conclusion on Wednesday night when the Detroit Red Wings claimed the Stanley Cup.


The Swift Current Broncos would like to congratulate all participants in this year’s World Hockey Draft, and are pleased to announce this year’s winners.

Coming in First Place overall with 385 points, and winning the grand prize of $20,000.00 is Ronni Bigras of Garson, Ontario. The Second Place winner of $6,000.00 is Ken Mildenberger of Red Deer, Alberta with 380 Points. Also registering 380 Points for Third Place is Ronald Roose of Camrose, Alberta.

The top 7 winners are:
1st Place- $20,000.00- Ronni Bigras (Garson, ON)- 385 PTS (154 Goals, 231 Assists).
2nd Place- $6,000.00- Ken Mildenberger (Red Deer, AB)- 380 PTS (155 Goals, 225 Assists).
3rd Place- $4,000.00- Ronald Roose (Team 4) (Camrose, AB)- 380 PTS (146 Goals, 234 Assists).
4th Place- $2,000.00- Rick Mah (Saskatoon, SK)- 379 PTS (148 Goals, 231 Assists).
5th-7th Place- $1000,000- Ronald Roose (Team 2)- 378 PTS (143 Goals, 245 Assists).
John Horton (Port Perry, ON)- 375 PTS (147 Goals, 228 Assists).
John Horton (Team 2)- 375 PTS (145 Goals, 230 Assists).

Fifteen participants, coming in 8th-22nd Place, are winners of a $500.00 cash prize.

Randy Folbar of Swift Current finished in 88th Place, winning $50.00.
