The Springfield Falcons have a news conference scheduled for Tuesday at which former Kelowna Rockets head coach will be named head coach of the Edmonton Oilers’ AHL affiliate. Truitt was an assistant coach with the Falcons last season. He replaces Kelly Buchberger, the former Moose Jaw Warriors captain who will be on the Oilers’ coaching staff next season.
