KENNEWICK, WA - Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced today that the team has traded 18-year-old goaltender Kyle Jahraus to the Seattle Thunderbirds in exchange for a conditional 10th round draft pick in the 2009 Bantam Draft.

The 5'10", 165-pound goaltender from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, appeared in two games during the 2006-07 season, recording 22 saves and no goals against in 39 minutes. Jahraus spent this past season with the Saskatoon Contacts of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League, recording an 8-17-3 record along with a 3.71 goals against average and a 0.891 save percentage.

The Americans' rookie camp will start on Wednesday, August 20 and conclude on Saturday, August 23 with the annual Todd Klassen Memorial Classic. Main camp will then kick-off on Sunday, August 24.
