Here is a trade that would seem to make some sense...Kevin Armstrong to PG for Alex Poulter. PG only has one 88 on their roster. With Cyr gone they only have 2 90's for goaltenders. Assuming they aren't completely going with a youth movement for next year this looks like a good fit that gives the 2 young goaltenders a chance to develop. Poulter could possibly be a good fit for Spokane on the third line or possibly centering the fourth. He had decent numbers last year on a bad team.

That would be a pretty decent trade. Experienced goaltending for potential offense. But I' m guessing, and only guessing, that the goaltending this coming season will be a youthful tandem.
The backend will need some veterans this year.
If I could play GM and swing a deal I would look more at an offer of Poulter and Haas for Falk or Spurgeon and a later pick.

You must have a crystal ball there, Chief Jeff. Albeit a bit dusty. ;)
Armstrong to PG for an 09 Bantam Draft pick ( instead of Poulter) is a done deal according to Cougars website.
So much for my youth tandem prediction.

Story of my life...just enough logic to get something half right.
