Rockets flirting with Mem Cup bid

The Brandon Wheat Kings have thrown their hat into the Memorial Cup ring. Apparently, so have the Kelowna Rockets. Again... On Thursday, Brandon announced its plan to bid for the 2010 event. Though officially unconfirmed, the Rockets have also joined Brandon in bidding for 2010. Kelowna hosted, and won, the 2004 tournament, drawing praise for its successful Cup Week format which featured scores of events outside of hockey... However, before Rockets fans start jumping onto the 2010 bandwagon, it‘s believed Kelowna‘s bid is to support Brandon.

Kelowna has already been there and done that. I think Brandon is deserving of hosting the event.
