Bartley Not returning

Regina Pat overage d man Vic Bartley will not be returning to the pats for the 08-09 season it is to be rumoured he has signed with Mississippi of the ECHL

Uhh... do you have a link to this or is it just talk around the town?

I doubt this is true because it just doesnt seem like a smart move. The ECHL usually isnt an option unless the player isnt happy with the team, or they just want to make money quicker. Otherwise, playing another year of junior should boost your stock. The only problem is waiting another year but it almost always pays off.

IF it is true (All of the rumors coming out of SC seem to be legit lately), then the pats are in deep **** on the blueline. That would mean we traded Ross (and a pick)for basically nothing but two one year defencemen for a 1 round run, and that our best returning defenceman is teubert.

I really hope this is false because I really like Bartleys game and he could have very well had the C this year. After another year of junior, I can almost guarentee that the AHL will be knocking on his door instead of the lowly ECHL.
