I will be trying to do what I did last year, compiling a list of all the players at each team's camp (if I can) and whittling it down as cuts are made, etc.

Still with the camp theme, the WHL recently held a training camp for its officials here in Calgary.....I think that explains the number of dogs I saw tied up outside a local rink while driving by.....

One other bit of WHL news; the CHL has announced that Swift Current and Prince Albert will be the host of the two WHL-Russia games this year. The days of putting this thing in the big arenas around the league are officially over, folks.

At least the Russians have a new motivator for their players this year. Gone are the days of "if you don't perform we'll send you to Siberia". This year it will be "pull up your socks or we'll send you to Prince Albert".

Oh, and I completely missed a milestone last week....this blog turned 1 year old on August 9. It's been slow this summer....but it'll get rocking again in a few days....

I'm feeling like a kid before Christmas. I cannot wait for the season to start.
