I doubt Berg will make the team, he hasn't done very well this pre-season. Klotz will not be playing for the Blades this year and there's probably a 60% chance that Gillies will.

Thats why i put Klotz with 4 * i know he wont be back, and from every source i have heard Gillies wont be back the Wild are gonna give him every shot to make the team..... As for Mitch Berg i say he will make the team, his skating has improved in a big way from last season, he will most likely be used as a 7th d-man, so expect spot starts from him.

As for a new team captain ,,,im not sure who they will go with my guess would be Hulak with the asistants going to Zahn,Joe and Klassen.

Niziol looked more impressive then Wintoneak did. No disrespect to them but I just don't see any trade value for them if Molleken is keeping them on just so he try and trade them.

the captain will either be Zahn or Toomey, just a hunch although Hulak could be as wel, either way the three of them will have letters and the forth maybe going to Klassen or Langkow.

The Blades played awsome against the Raiders with out Gillies but if he did come back that would be a huge bonus!

We have a solid defense and do believe Zahn should get the "C".
i dont believe Berg will get that much playing time this year... sure he skating is alot better but he still can't really shot... but i have not paid very much attention to his passing so i guess we will see...

Wintoneak was a ghost last game... Every one stepped up last game except him...

The new roster loooks really promising and we still have room for 1 more 20 year old.

I will go out on a big unstable limb and say Funk would get consideration.

I agree with you that Funk might wear the C! However it will likely be with some team in the MJHL because I just don't think you give the "C" to a 5th or 6th defenceman on your team.

My guess for El Capitano will be da da da da.................COLTON GILLIES!!! :clap:

I have heard that Lloydminster already has two pretty solid 16 year-olds so i don't know how much of a spot is left open there for him??

I went to the pre-season game in PA and liked rookies Chikie and Inglis. Chikie looks like he has the makings to be another Jason Christie.

I was at that game too! My impressions are that the BLADES are an improved team this year and my personal favorite was the Inglis kid with honourable mention to Dziurzynski. Both appear to be tough and could quite possibly be a "Yakimishyn" type. Any BLADE fans remember him?
