Brandon, Manitoba -- The Western Hockey League's Brandon Wheat Kings reassigned two players Tuesday morning, trimming their active roster to twenty-six players.

The Wheat Kings have announced that 17-year old defenceman Brett Rock and 17-year old goalkeeper Graham Hildebrand have been returned to their respective clubs. While Rock is expected to suit up for the Fort Saskatchewan AAA Midgets, Hildebrand is considering several options.

Today's announcement leaves the Wheat Kings with fourteen forwards, ten defencemen and two goaltenders - Joe Caligiuri and Andrew Hayes. Of those, nineteen are veterans.

While Rock was an eighth round pick of the Wheat Kings in the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft, Hildebrand was listed the following year and is coming off an outstanding season with the Beardy's AAA Midget Blackhawks that saw him post a 2.69 goals against average in 24 appearances.

In other news this week, the Wheat Kings have welcomed back two more veterans from National Hockey League Training Camps. Colby Robak returned Monday night from the Florida Panthers while Matt Calvert was reassigned Monday night by the Columbus Blue Jackets. Both are expected to be in the Brandon lineup this Friday night when the Wheat Kings kick off a weekend home and home series with the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors.
