BRONCOS WELCOME REBELS -- The Swift Current Broncos (4-0-0-0) put their unbeaten record on the line as they host the Red Deer Rebels (3-1-0-1) in Western Hockey League action on Wednesday, October 1st.

The Broncos are coming off back-to-back wins over the Saskatoon Blades on Friday and Saturday, running their season-opening winning streak to four games. Veteran forward Keegan Dansereau has three goals and six points through four games while rookie forward Jordan Peddle has a two goals and two assists over the first four games of his WHL career.

The Rebels picked up their third win in four games with a 4-3 overtime win over the Edmonton Oil Kings on Saturday. The Rebels are 0-1-0-1 through their first two road contests this season. Landon Ferraro leads the Rebels in scoring with three goals and eight points in five contests.

It’s the first meeting of the season between the Broncos and Rebels. Swift Current won all five meetings versus Red Deer last season.
