Andrej Roman has been removed from the Chiefs roster. I believe they still hold the rights to him however. If they weren't before, The Chiefs are now definitely going to be looking to trade for a top six RW. I think Betts, Donaghy, and assorted rookies have done a decent job filling in, but a highly skilled player is a must.

Yeah, the article on the Chiefs page makes it sound like Roman is still on the PPL. I agree that we will probably a trade at some point, although my guess is a trade is still a ways away. Hopefully the youngsters can pick up some of the slack in the time being. And who knows, although it doesn't look promising, maybe Romey will be back at some point. Until Jan 10th passes, we can still hope, right? :thumb:

Interesting write-up. I'm curious to see how this goes for Roman not only for us as Chiefs fans, but for the future of the CHL and European imports. Tri had a similar problem with Radek Meidl last year, and I hear there's a team in the OHL (Windsor?) who has a kid going through the same mess as Roman...oddly enough, I believe the kid is also a Dallas Stars draft pick.
