Its the 2nd end of a home and home for the Ice and Hitmen. I suspect the Ice will come out much harder tonight so hopefully the boys are ready. Game is at 7 and is on the fan 960.

The Kootenay Ice (10-8-2-3) host the Calgary Hitmen (15-4-1-0) on Friday for the back half of a home-and-home series between the Central Division rivals.

The Ice dropped a 6-2 decision in Calgary on Monday for their second straight defeat, and currently sit in second place in the Central Division. Tylan Stephens has scored four goals and 10 points over his last seven games.

The Hitmen picked up their second straight victory and eighth in 10 games with Monday’s win over the visiting Ice, and currently lead the Central Division and Eastern Conference standings. Calgary’s power play ranks second in the WHL while their penalty killing ranks first.

Well the Ice self destructed in the 2nd period by taking several penalties and it helped the Hitmen blow the game wide open tonight. Royer gets his butt kicked by McNabb(sp?) at the end of the 3rd but never the less the Hitmen win both ends of the home and home. One reason for the Hitmen early success...I believe this improves their record to 12-2 within the division.
