Its the first of 4 games in 5 nights for the Hitmen. Hopefully the boys come out and have a strong start to the road trip. The game is on the fan 960 this afternoon.

A good way to start the trip. It sure sounded like a good game. Hitmen may have caught a break with about 3 minutes to go when a Bronco goal was disallowed due to the net being off before the puck went in. I will post recaps once they are available.

Hitmen win 2-1, outshoot the Broncos 31-24 despite having two fewer powerplay chances, and in fact don't give up an even-strength goal in the game.....and two of the game's three stars are Broncos?

Which guy wearing blue-and-green glasses picked the stars?

To be honest I seldom agree with the 3 stars selected in our rink. Today the Hitmen didn't have anyone stand out. They played a great team game. Jones was deserving of 1st star. He faced less shots but he made some stellar saves including one off Wagner with 11 seconds left. Hats off to the Hitmen, they truly look like contenders.

FYI the Broncos haven't had green on their jerseys for 3 years.
