I just hate seeing a team quit on the ice. Tonight was a complete lack of effort by the top lines. The benching of those lines, for the most part, in the 3rd period was completely warranted in my opinion. Obviously they had to get some ice time, but I'm glad Becanic did it.
Lack of heart and quit usualyl means th ecoach is losing them. That's two of the last three games with a terrible effort. Those bad, heartless games were sandwiched between a great effort on Sunday. I just don't get it.
I was one that said let's take a wait and see approach on Becanic. Teams don't learn a thing when players aren't giving it their full effort. To me, that signals a time for a change.
This officially begins my, "I think we need a new coach" campaign...lol.
