It took until the last minute and fifteen seconds, but the Swift Current Broncos were finally able to beat Moose Jaw G Jeff Bosch for a go-ahead tally, and pulled out of the Friendly City tonight with a 5-3 win.

-this was hands-down the best performance by a goalie I have seen all season. Jeff Bosch was repeatedly hung out to dry by his defense and abseloutely stoned the Broncos over and over again, especially through the first two periods. Despite all of that, Bosch was not included in the three stars at the end of the game.

-Michael Stickland tipped home the eventual game winner late in the third period off a long shot by Derek Claffey.

-the game featured a highlight reel goal by smooth-skating Swift Current defenseman Eric Doyle, who scored a beauty to tie the game 3-3 at 9:48 of the third period. Doyle has had his fair share of success in that building over the past two seasons.

-Quinton Howden, Dylan Hood, and Corey Scott scored for the Warriors, who lost their 10th straight contest.

-John Negrin was very solid for the Broncos tonight. Negrin drew a +3 from this game and played well in all areas.

-going 0/7 on the man advantage like the Broncos did tonight you would think, could be trouble. However, I don't think those numbers are indicative of how well they played with the extra man but again, how well Bosch played in net for the homeside. He was phenominal. Swift Current's first two man advantages didn't exactly look picture perfect but from there they did move the puck around very well with the extra man.

-the Michael Stickland game winner with 1:15 to play must have been a heart breaker for the Warriors, who have lost two home games in that exact fashion lately.

-the only reason Moose Jaw was even in this game after two periods was their goaltender. They were dominated entirely through 40 minutes.

-credit the Warriors for stepping up their play at least a tad in the third period though. They played well enough in the third frame to regain the lead and gave themselves another chance to win despite the odds being against them.

-concerning was the fact that the visitors were unable to capitalize numerous times on some GREAT scoring chances.

-at the other end, G Travis Yonkman sort of fought the puck tonight. Yonks hasn't had what you would call a great stretch the last little bit, but is always always one to battle it out and will no doubt get back to his consistent self.

-Cody Eakin was very energetic once again.

-and Matt Tassone was 1/2 on the break-away tonight. He was stopped on his first attempt but slipped the puck through the five hole on the backhand the second time around for the monumental game-tying goal late in the second period to make the score 2-2. Tazzy left the game after two periods and did not return. It looked like he agitated that troubled shoulder, but should be back and good to go this Friday in PA.

The Broncos now get set to take on the Prince Albert Raiders in an upcoming weekend home-and-home series. It starts Friday in Prince Albert. The key has to be to shut down their top three guys in Michael MacAngus, Ryan McDonald, and Justin Bernhart. All three are game changers, especially the latter two. And things could heat up between these teams after the fight situation we saw last Sunday at the i-Plex. Should be an awesome two games to watch......

Wow, Yonks didn't look very good on any of those goals. Hasn't had a real good game since they traded Guggs, lack of competition for starting job? Hope he's just saving it for the playoffs.

Love the video link so i can watch the Doyle goal over and over again. Even MJ fans were applauding that one.
