Former Ottawa Senators assistant coach Curtis Hunt agreed Wednesday to become head coach of the team's AHL affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.
Hunt had been offered the Binghamton job when he and head coach Craig Hartsburg were relieved of their duties in Ottawa on Monday.

Binghamton coach Cory Clouston was promoted to head coach in Ottawa, while defenceman Luke Richardson was made an assistant coach.

The 42-year-old Hunt joined Ottawa's coaching staff in July after four years as coach of the Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League.

He won gold as an assistant coach for Canada at the 2006 and 2007 world junior championship.
