I Think one player that has been totally missed this year is JOEL KOT of the Red Deer Rebels! Coach Wallin has held him back all year by making him a 6th or 7th defenseman and as of late playing him as a forward. This KID shines!!!!! Is an INCREDIBLE SKATER and has ALL the SMARTS to move on in HOCKEY! I only hope being 18 this year that his chances are not lost????? Are they???? Can anyone tell me that????
All you EDUCATED HOCKEY PEOPLE ........ Please answer!

Coach Wallin has held him back all year by making him a 6th or 7th defenseman and as of late playing him as a forward.I would argue that what has held him back the most is the fact that he was injured for a YEAR. He looked great as a rookie, but that year-long injury set him back a ways in his development. Other players on the team have been developing with as much or less ice time as him this season. I think he is one of a handful of players on this team that are on the bubble this summer,

This KID shines!!!!! Is an INCREDIBLE SKATER and has ALL the SMARTS to move on in HOCKEY! I only hope being 18 this year that his chances are not lost????? Are they???? Can anyone tell me that????He is a good skater, but 'incredible' is a bit of a stretch. He is a good passer, and is not afraid to hit, but he really needs to both carry the puck more and find the shooting lanes better (defenders haven't had a great deal of problems blocking his shots this season). His chances certainly are not lost, even if they do end up being with a different team.

Sorry Local it is about the Western Conference! And the Questions I asked were not meant to be an attack on Joel Kot! I just wanted to know if he still had a chance. And I do know there are a great many REAL HOCKEY PEOPLE on this site!
