The standout on an exceptionally strong unit. Imagine, Hitmen fans, if he was only 18 this year, and you had the chance to have him back for another year or 2......That'd be a scary thought for the rest of the league......

As a Hitmen fan, I love Postma, but I still have to give my vote for d-man of the year to Jon Blum in Vancouver.

Blum is 2nd in d-man scoring to Postma but he missed 12 games while at the WJCs or else he'd be in first in both points and +/- over Postma. Blum is also better defensively than Postma, who can be a bit of a bad risk-taker sometimes. Blum is NHL-ready and will probably be in the NHL next year the way Alzner went from the WHL to the NHL this year. Postma will probably NOT be in the NHL next season because his all-aroundl game needs a little work.
