a three game mini series starts tonight. the first two games are in brandon the third game back in saskatoon on tuesday. should be awesome. i think whoever takes two out of three should go on to win the east division.

special teams are going to be important. brandon has the #3 powerplay in the whl lots of firepower there. brandons penalty kill is weaker 14th overall, this might be where saskatoon can get an advantage, the blades have to score on their powerplay chances. saskatoon has to stay out of the box.

in five games brayden schenn has yet to score a goal, but has seven assists against saskatoon. chris langkow is saskatoon's scoring leader with four goals and three assists against brandon.

both teams will have significant players out with injury. for saskatoon teigan zahn is out for the weekend games, brandon will be missing scott glennie.

overall saskatoon has a big advantage in net, a slight advantage on defense, and brandon has a big advantage at forward. if the wheaties can open up the game and get their forwards room to work, watch out. if saskatoon gets to brandon's starting goalie early, and can roll their lines, watch out.

going be a lot of fun for us.

Listened to the game on the Brandon 880 radio station and was an entertaining game in the 3rd for sure. Hope one of these teams takes out the Hitmen

Real heartbreaker for the WKs, if they capitalize on one of those wide open nets in the 2nd its probably a back breaker for Saskatoon. Holtby was less than average(for him) last night, and we couldn't beat them, only 4200 in attendance last night and with the loss Im guessing it wont even be that many people there tonight

I gotta say im shocked at the low attendance for a friday night! One of if not THE most meaningful regular season game. But hey, maybe its easier for the Blades playing in front of a smaller group of the Wheatking faithful. When the game in Saskatoon is played we better have a good crowd.

It's quite pathetic the attendance.
