There's been a lot of talk about the two weekend games between the Wheaties and Blades but let's be serious the difference between the two teams is goaltending plain and simple.
In the Friday night game alone Holtby made a 6 or 7 "big saves" (& he got a bit lucky) in the 1st two periods to keep Saskatoon in the game and by comparison Hayes didn't make a "big save" the entire game ... four quality scoring chances by Saskatoon ... four goals!
This team probably has enough firepower to get through the 1st round of the playoffs but I think we're in deep if we have to start the 2nd round in Saskatoon ... and chance are we will.
