The Western Hockey League' s Brandon Wheat Kings have learned that they will be without captain Keith Aulie indefinitely because of a broken right hand.
Aulie sustained the injury when he blocked a shot during Brandon's game Wednesday’s night in Prince Albert.
The WHL club received the news Friday afternoon after the 19-year old Rouleau, Saskatchewan product met with doctors in Winnipeg.
A member of Canada's gold medal winning team at this year's World Junior Hockey Championship in Ottawa, Aulie is enjoying an outstanding season with the Wheat Kings. In 58 games this year, the Calgary Flames' draft choice has six goals, 33 points and 83 minutes in penalties.
