2009 KAMLOOPS BLAZERS BANTAM DRAFT RESULTS
KAMLOOPS, BC – The Kamloops Blazers are proud to announce their selection of defenseman Brady Gaudet of Redvers, SK in the first round, 10th overall, in today’s WHL Bantam Draft being held in Edmonton. Gaudet is a 5’10”, 170-pound left-shooting blueliner who played for the Carlyle Moose Mountain Bantam AAAs last season.
“We’re proud to introduce Brady as the newest member of the Blazer family,” says Vice-President and General Manager Craig Bonner. “Brady is an excellent puck-moving defenseman and we’re glad we were able to address that part of our team’s game by selecting Brady. We see him as a solid, skilled player and we expect him to fill that role as he develops at the Western Hockey League level.”
Gaudet played in 25 games for Carlyle last season, scoring 13 goals and adding 23 assists.
The Blazers made C Logan McVeigh their second round selection, 32nd overall, in today’s WHL Bantam Draft.
