Contrary to published reports, the Milwaukee Admirals have NOT signed defenseman Chad Erb.
The Brandon Wheat Kings of the WHL issued a press release today stating:
"The Wheat Kings, who lost out to the Calgary Hitmen in the WHL's Eastern Conference Final Wednesday night, have announced that 20-year old defenceman Chad Erb has agreed to join the Milwaukee Admirals for the balance of the 2009 American Hockey League Playoffs."
Which would be great for Erb....if it were true.
Milwaukee Admirals Senior Director of Communications Charlie Larson says this is being erroneously reported by the Wheat Kings, and Milwaukee has not signed Erb. Accordingly, Russ Sinkewich continues to be the team's extra defenseman.
