Hi Posters: What are the Vancouver Giants going to get in Ryan Funk?

He is a player who never gives up,and of course he is an overager so he will be a leader. He skates decently,he has a good shot,and he should put up good numbers and I am sure he will do that because he is going from one good team to another with good coaching. In my opinion the Giants are getting an all around type of player. He hits,fights and can contribute offensively.

funk has a good attitude. very coachable. he's a leader. he won't overwhelm you offensively or defensively, but he is solid on both sides.

In more of an honest opinoin, ill break down Funk as good as i can.

Discipline - 8
Puck control - 3
Passing - 5
Wrist shot - 8
Slap shot - 8
Confidence - 6
Decision making - 6
Overall - 6.5(could be a 7.5 if he has a good season)

Ryan Funk was horrible for defensive zone breakdowns. His +- this year was 90% due to playing with Colin Joe. Funk has an excellent shot but doesnt use it. If he will be of any use to your team, pair him with a very strong defensive minded defenseman. Tell him to take more shots as well, then you can get a decent player.
