If I'm not mistaken he gets placed back into the Entry Draft pool and can be re-selected. If he gets passed over he becomes a UFA.

I would say that there is a small chance a team takes a late chance on him. If not, I guess hes back here, which I never would have expected. Absolutely huge for the pats if he comes back.
