from http://www.chl.ca/WHLNews0203/0603.html,

Calgary, AB - The Western Hockey League will be conducting the expansion draft for the newest WHL franchise, the Everett Silvertips on Wednesday, June 4th, 2003. Everett, the WHL's 20th franchise will begin play in the Western Hockey League in 2003-2004.

The Everett Silvertips will be able to select one player from each WHL club. Each WHL team will be permitted to protect either 14 players born in 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986 or protect 12 players born in 1984, 1985, 1986 and three over-age players (1983).

The Calgary Hitmen traded their third round selection in the 2003 WHL Bantam Draft to the Everett Silvertips in place of the expansion pick. The Silvertips used the draft pick to select defenceman Cameron Brodie (07/01/1988) from White Rock, British Columbia,

The complete expansion list will be posted on www.whl.ca on Wednesday evening, following the completion of the WHL Expansion Draft.

I wouldnt expect it to be much different for the Chilliwack team unless they add Edmonton in at the same time. Obviously the years will be different.

They won't be adding Edmonton in at the same time. Expansion teams joining the league in the fall of 2006 need to participate in the 2005 bantam draft. That's part of why this had to happen quickly, with Chilliwack, if it was going to so they could participate in May's bantam draft.

Well, Vancouver Didnt particapate in the bantam draft till May '01, then started in the '01-02 season, and Everetts' first draft was in May '03 the same year they started.

Cant see Chilliwack getting to particapate in '05 Draft when they dont start till '06, unless they have changed the draft rules. That does leave the league some time to add in Edmonton.
