New GM Rich Preston got his feet wet in the Euro Draft today. The Canes picked 32nd overall and went back to Finland to select another goaltender. 6.1 195lbs Ville Kolppanen from Tampere. (Juha's home town?) Ville not eligible for the NHL draft until 2010. The Canes will likely not take anyone in the second round as they plan on keeping Luca Sbisa on the protected list.
