I'm curious what to make of this. At first when I read this was the Mr. Lamb was already considering some moves. Am I reading too much into this? What do others view this little read as?

i'd take it at face value george. lamb will want to put his stamp on the team, no doubt about it, but he wants to identify the thoroughbreds before weeding out the duds. showing patience is wise.

Sounds like he will come in with an open mind. Look for the good talent to surface and then deal of what he isn't impressed with hopefully filling some holes in the process. With a new coach, the kids coming in gotta feel that no spot is safe, and a real good camp will get you on the team (espcially for rookies and list players), while a terrible camp will mean you are seeing the door.

So has anyone been to camp or have any updates? Come on Big Ern I wanna know who has caught your eye!

Won't get anything from me until a preseason game. I don't usually see the inside of the I-Plex until then.

Okay,we need to get a little info on here for the fans not around Swift and get some opinions going. Who is going to surprise this year, my bet Sullivan and Adam Lowry (did he grow or what will be a player like his dad not fancy but works hard and gritty)

Possible 16 year olds Craig and Scarlett look good on D and Lowry at forward

Goaltending???????????(not counting Smith who may be here this year great potential)

Depth at D is not good and age spread is out of whack, 3-20's, 1-19 (who is a 6 or 7 D man), 1-18 (Rogers due for a huge break out), 1-17 (Evans has progressed) Luhning looking good.

Forwards are deep and strong, potential for some big years under Mark Lamb's guidance and aggresive system (fan's talk)

I really like Howorko and Richardson both will see WHL games this year (Howorko looks like a great pick)

The forwards I would bet to make the team are
Muench and Hay.

I'm rather curious who will be playing in the Blue / White game Monday night. Cutting down from about 100 players to 40 players for the Blue/White game will be quite the process I would imagine. I'm simply curious who will be on either team. How many goaltenders will be in the Blue/White game? I'm thinking 4 perhaps (2 per team).

Well I have Hay and Scarlett as shoe-ins to make it.

On the blueline I see Luhning, Ernst, and Craig battling for the last spot.

Up front Muench, Lowry, Sullivan, and Blanke look like possibilities for the last couple of spots.

Goalies??? so hard to tell a period at a time but my guess would be Sirard, Smith and Ketting are in a three-way battle for the second spot, but still much to be decided in the pre-season I would think

it looks like Muench will make it but not too big on his overall game. Blanke did a good job at camp and will be around for the week to see where he fits in. Lowry does a lot of small things well is aggresive and can play in the bottom 6 forwards as a 16 and improve his game. Dont forget Stickland in your depth chart and Tassone in November.

Hopefully there will be a list provided Monday (sooner than later) of the players that have either been released or reassigned. I'm curious who will advance and who will have to wait till another year.

It would be nice to have a roster to go by. I am still rooting for DiGiovanantonio to make it just spite a few announcers/commentators across the leauge.

Rosters for each team are available at various spots (by the stable, in front of the concession). I am hoping to see the list of 40 guys...perhaps keen will have it posted on his blog or something.

29. Shae Howorko (15)
33 Jordan Evans (17)

Richardson left 1/2 way through the last game, normally the first couple 15 year old picks stay for at least a week and play in an exhibition game or two, Howorko sure has impressed tho as well as young Perpelitz. Always fun when people try and analyse the rosters to see if they can figure things out.

I find it interesting that I hear some people say that this coming years draft will be incredably strong, and this past draft was weaker. Either we hit the jackpot, or the next draft will be lights out.

Got a feeling Liam is on the cusp. Barring some improvements made in the offseason, i think i would rather see a 16/17 yr old on the 4th line than him.

The guys that have caught my eye are the following:

Geordie Wudrick
- sure has played with "wanting the puck" on his stick mentality. Wudrick has been playing in my opinion more aggressively in both zones as apposed to mainly just a floater between blue lines as he's been in the past. He's showed a better willingness to shoot the puck when he gets as apposed to dishing it off. Wudrick really needs to play with fire this year as he'll be a good to guy from the get go.

Micheal Hay
- Always making plays when he has the puck. Offensively gifted all preseason thus far.

Reece Scarlett and Graeme Craig
- Studs on the back end for years to come in my opinion. Big, strong dmen already at 16 years old. Showed great poise on the back end all camp thus far and both play well in their own end.

Shea Howorko
- Player to watch thus far in my opinion. At the age of 15 he has the size to battle in the corners already, skates well, plays both ends of the rink rather well. Power forward next year for the Broncos. I wish it was possible to dress a 15 year old all year...didn't Taveras do thas a 15 year old? I only wish.

Those are the guys that stick out thus far. I'm pretty pumped for this year. Of the 34 playes left in camp, not sure who will crack the final roster. Molle, Doyle, Claffey will be our 3 twenty year olds until Tassone and Stickland return. When that occurs, then some decisions will be made. It'll be interesting.

I think Hay is a lock to make it, he is a very compete two-way player that fit right in last year in a Broncos jersey.

My sleeper would be Andy Blanke, who has great size, covers a lot of ice3 at centre and is a pretty slick passer for a big kid. I think this kid has a great shot to make it after watching him during the scrimmages.

Missed the black and white and was wondering how the local boy and Legionnaire looked.

CrazyGeorge

I agree with Blanke. I like his size and passing...good option as a 4th ling center.

Just read Keens blog, and it sais Liam has been released. Big guy out on the ice but if you need a third or fourth line player probably a better idea to bring up someone a little younger.

He is a big kid, but got knocked off of his skates/puck pretty easily. Interesting that both Ius and Darragh have been released this preseason then.

How has Peddle been this camp? I really liked the way he played last year and am hoping that he can turn it up this year with some more big hits, intensity and possibly a few more points.

Really in a sense our main things to deal with now is a 20 year old situation and our goaltending. We have 15 forwards left in camp right now two of which are injured (Tassone and Stickland). Take those two out of our active roster and we have our 13 forwards. We also have three 20 year old defensemen (Doyle, Claffey, Molle). Not really sure if any players going to pro camps will stick with their respective teams, not a huge worry on that part. I'm curious how many players are usually on the roster to start the season? 2 goalies, 7 dmen, 13 forwards? With that being said, we'll need to deal 2 goalies, 3 dmen, and once Tassone/Stickland are back, eventually 2 more forwards.
